  • Yes, you see right: I’m vacuuming my plants! They’re under a #whiteflies invasion 😱. I’m pulling out all the stops to minimise the damage: spraying with soapy water 💦 plus neem oil when under 24 degrees C, putting pieces of shiny and sparkly objects and vacuuming. In the past I have underestimated whiteflies hoping ladybugs 🐞 and spiders 🕷 will sort them out. They are damaging all the foliage and can kill young seedlings in no time. You can do only as much if they are in the neighbouring gardens as well, so I need a deterrent. I read that whiteflies avoid plants sprayed with worm juice. It’s worth a try. Wish me luck!
